MARK ROY TO SPEAK ON UCONN’S EARLY YEARS ON
APRIL 5
Author Mark J. Roy, class of '74, writes a regular series on the history of the university for the UConn Advance, the faculty and staff newspaper. His first book, a photographic history of UConn, was recently released by Arcadia Publishing. He also manages the University’s web site.
Mr. Roy will tell about UConn’s beginnings in 1881 in a 50-room building that once housed Connecticut’s Civil War orphans and the many developments that followed. Each era in the universities’ history has seen great growth and change. Come and hear Mr. Roy and see his great slides.
